Gator Patrol. Gator Patrol is students in grades 4-6 who are selected by their teacher to participate. These students will be trained to help with peer mediation and campus safety patrol. After being trained students will help assist Yard Duty monitor the playground and bathrooms.
Students are rotated monthly in order to allow all students to participate and be a part of something positive.
Gator Go-Getter. Gator Go-Getter is a school wide reward system where students being caught showing good student qualities are given a ticket that they turn in making them eligible for the daily drawing from prizes. Mrs. Rasmussen chooses and announces the winners during her morning broadcast over the Ella intercom.
Upper-grade Citizenship Luncheon. Once a month one 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th grader is chosen from each class to participate in this recognition ceremony. The students chosen have demonstrated good citizenship behaviors and are awarded a certificate of appreciation and attend a luncheon where they receive prizes and tasty treats.
Cafeteria Challenge. When students go to lunch they sit together as a class. Each class will earn a Gator everyday they are being respectful, responsible and safe in the cafeteria. The classes that earn 10 Gators receive a prize that is selected by the teacher from a jar.
Prizes include: Movie and Lunch, Ice Cream Party, 15 minutes with Mrs. Vang, Lunch on the lawn, and so on.
Perfect Attendance. Teachers record the dates when their entire class has perfect attendance, no tardiness included, on the Perfect Attendance Sheet. Once a class achieves 20 days’ worth of perfect attendance, that class earns a pizza party during their lunch and a balloon that is graciously donated by Ms. Selenia Mosely.
